PROCEPT Twin Screw Extruder
The PROCEPT Twin Screw Extruder is designed to be used as an extruder or continuous granulator for small scale feasibility studies to small GMP production runs.
The PROCEPT Twin Screw Granulator/Extruder has two co-rotating screws driven by a high torque servo motor, offering several processes capabilities; Hot Melt extrusion, Wet/Melt granulation and Wet Extrusion.
PROCEPT’s modular design allows us to provide full flexibility towards integrating the equipment in your laboratory.
The PROCEPT Twin Screw Extruder
The unit is available as a bench-top set-up, with a separate electrical cabinet and control module, or can be integrated on a wheeled cabinet containing the electrical systems and drive controller. The touch screen computer is attached to a swing arm which can be positioned according to the operator’s preference.
The extruder module could be placed in a fume hood, while keeping the controls accessible for the operator. It is the ideal equipment for R&D.

Body has 5 ports for powder feeding/ liquid feeding/ degassing and venting. 4 individually controllable heating zones each also with water cooling. Chilled hopper for powder feeding. Touch screen PC control with real-time trending and excel data reporting. Water and organic solvents. Easy screw configuration changes. Different configurable screw set-ups for Hot Melt Extrusion, Wet/Melt Granulation and Wet Extrusion processes. Critical process data such as heating & cooling temperature setpoints, and screw rpm are handled by the control unit. DC motor with variable drive speed (3-40rpm).
